Almighty God, my heavenly Father:
I confess my need for You.
Forgive my tendency to hold onto control.
Forgive harmful actions that have spilled
from my emotions. These feelings spring from
pride and holding control over my own life.
Renew my mind by Your Spirit.
I surrender this day to You.
Help me to be a humble servant
like Your Son, Jesus Christ,
in whose name I pray.
Lord I accept your forgiveness
and receive Your strength to do Your will.
